SAMPLE TEXT ABOUT THE VISIT

The Ardley Energy Recovery Facility opened in 2014, and now treats over 326,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste each year. It diverts at least 95% of Oxfordshire's residual waste away from landfill [which is really impressive and so much better for the environment] and generates enough electricity to power the equivalent of nearly 60,000 homes.

The visit is on Friday 26 January, starting at 10.00am. It will last about 2.5 hours, and there will be a talk with tea/coffee as well as a guided tour of the facility. The visit will focus on reducing waste, recycling, and showing what happens to non-recyclable waste in Oxfordshire. There is no charge.
